Born in Vancouver and raised in Edmonton, I did my growing up in New York and Toronto before finding my way back home to Vancouver.
A dancer since before I was born, I discovered ballet when I saw a production of The Nutcracker. I begged for ballet lessons until my parents agreed to enroll me at the age of 5, and I never looked back. Injury and interest drew me to the bright lights of musical theatre in high school and to New York City to attend a summer theatre program when I was 16. There, I was bit by the Broadway bug, and at 17, I moved to New York to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where I completed my BFA in Theatre, with a minor in history, and my ballet teacher training at American Ballet Theatre.
After 5 years in the USA, it came time to head back north. I moved to Toronto where I continued my path: auditioning, working on short films and TV shows, writing an original cabaret show, and eventually, getting a job with the Toronto Blue Jays. Three seasons with the Blue Jays unlocked a world of professional possibility in sports and entertainment marketing. In 2017, I returned to school to complete an MBA at the Schulich School of Business, a semester of which I was able to do at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. My MBA was followed by sponsorship marketing roles with the Canadian Olympic Committee and Bell Canada before I was called back to my roots in the arts at Arts Umbrella.
In 2019, I moved back to my hometown of Vancouver where I currently live with my husband, Kellan, enjoying the great food, hiking, art, and family time that this city has to offer.
